About Me

In 2016 my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. While the news was devastating it was not a surprise as it had been clear for quite a while that something was not quite right with my Dad’s brain.

While I had spent the previous five years supporting Dad as his kidneys failed and he endured dialysis this was my first exposure to brain health and I really knew very little about what was happening as my intelligent and very capable father deteriorated before my eyes.

I thought I knew a far bit about health and wellbeing as I had spent my early 50’s healing my body from Hashimoto’s Auto Immune Disease while navigating the ups and downs of menopause. It was a tough ride and to get well I had to change pretty much everything about how I lived, what I ate and how I worked.

At no stage however had I really considered my brain and what I needed to do to keep it healthy. Fast forward to today and I now know how important having a healthy brain is to our lives at any age.

It is our brains that make us who we are.

Our brain is involved in literally everything we do. How we think, feel, act and interact.

When our brains are right we make better decisions, are more creative, have better relationships, we are healthier, happier and more successful.
